Fun in Green Bay!

· Uncategorized

We sure did have a great time going to Green Bay two weekends ago to visit with the Patrickus family and attend, it seems, our annual Packers game! This time, the weather was awesome (for the game). The tailgating was a blast, but a bit cold and windy for our taste. Nonetheless, it was a damn good time.

Ben had a little too much fun!

Happy “Hominy”

^ That is how Benjamin says “Halloween”. It’s so damn tender.

Benjamin, Enjoying His New Table

· Uncategorized

We recently bought Ben his own table and chairs so that he can enjoy his snacks, milk, juice, etc. and be more of a “big boy”. Michelle had a great opportunity to catch Ben, in the wild, enjoying some of his favorite snacks: cheese goldfish, craisins, and milk (moo moo).

Fun Day at Cranbrook!

· Uncategorized

Last Friday, I had the day off and Michelle doesn’t work on Fridays. She took Ben and I on a mystery trip to the Cranbrook Institute of Science.

It was more fun than I ever expected it to be with Ben. He was in heaven, having the entire place to himself, just about. It was the perfect time (mid-morning) to go there, before anyone goes there after school or work!

Here are some fun photos of our fun (click the first image to take you to the gallery):

“Day-Twa” T-Shirt from Julie and Suzy (THANKS!)

Enjoying the exhibits, all to himself!

It’s most fun with mommy helping!

Daddy can have fun with Ben, too!

Ben sure is small compared to the Mastadon.

What a ham!

Some photos...

It’s been a while since I shared some photos, and, surprisingly, I haven’t taken that many photos in the past few weeks. I wonder why? Maybe I am in a “lull” for photo-taking.

Clicking that picture of Benjamin, walking at the park near our house, will take you to the latest gallery I’ve thrown up.

Here is one of Louie, Ben’s cousin, after getting a little bit too frisky with the cooler!

Follow ME, Mommy!

I love this photo!

Crazy scultpure we saw at the Rochester Art Fair last weekend.

I bet there are some Democrats out there that think Steve Irwin was killed as part of a conspiracy since he was a profound conservationist. I’m just throwing this out there for those who may care to offer a comment or two on this.

Crikeys!

R.I.P. Steve “The Crocodile Hunter” Irwin.

He was attacked by a stingray off the Great Barrier Reef in Australia on September 4, 2006. A stingray’s barb went through his heart. I heard on the news this morning that his manager and longtime friend saw the footage and said it was “shocking”. Steve actually pulled the barb out of his chest and died shortly after! WOW…that is absolutely crazy!

Our Military

Thanks to Pepe for sending me this!

A United States marine was attending some college courses between assignments. He had completed missions in Iraq and Afghanistan. One of the courses had a professor who was an avowed atheist and a member of the ACLU. One day the professor shocked the class when he came in. He looked to the ceiling and flatly stated, “God, if you are real, then I want you to knock me off this platform. I’ll give you exactly 15 minutes.” The lecture room fell silent. You could hear a pin drop. Ten minutes went by and the professor proclaimed, “Here I am God. I’m still waiting.” It got down to the last couple of minutes when the marine got out of his chair, went up to the professor, and cold-cocked him knocking him off the platform. The professor was out cold. The marine went back to his seat and sat there, silently. The other students were shocked and stunned and sat there looking on in silence. The professor eventually came to, noticeably shaken, looked at the marine and asked, “What the hell is the matter with you? Why did you do that?” The marine calmly replied, “God was too busy today protecting America’s troops who are protecting your right to say stupid shit and act like an asshole. ……………. So, He sent me.”
